Q-Series is pioneering a new, alternative way to get access to the healthiest water on the planet. That way is via a subscription membership to the Q-Series Community.
Maybe you are wondering if a water ionizer membership or subscription program is right for you and your family. At first glance, buying a water ionizer for 3 or 4 thousand dollars may seem like a good decision.
BUT did you know that the costs don’t stop after your initial investment of 3 to 4 thousand dollars? What water ionizer companies don’t tell you is that you will have to spend hundreds of dollars over and over again to maintain your ionizer and replace its filters.
Let’s dive a little deeper and take a look at a popular brand called Enagic TM.
CASE STUDY – HYDROGENX VS. ENAGIC SD-501
The Enagic SD-501 Water Ionizer will cost you around $4000.00 up-front to purchase.
Per the Enagic website, their filters will need to be replaced every 3-6 months. At $120.00 per set of filters, you could spend up to $480.00 per year just on replacement filters.
BUT, there’s more…
The Enagic SD-501 will also require you to purchase cleaning powder (in fact, on some models, not doing so may void the warranty). Enagic recommends cleaning the unit every week. That is $34.00 more that you will spend every 6 months.
If you want good filtration (better than just standard carbon filters that come with the unit), you will need to buy their pre-filters. The 2 bank pre-filter system will cost you $162.00 up-front and then $80.00 for replacement filters at least once per year (twice for larger families since the pre-filters only last 500 gallons).
Now you are up to over $600.00 per year, and even if you do everything right, your warranty is only valid for 5 years. In addition, keep in mind that the following isn’t covered by Enagic (Kangen) warranty (according to their website):
- Flexible Pipe
- Printed Materials
- Deep Cleanings
- Enhancer Damage
- Improper Damage
- Misuse and Abuse of Units
- Machine Alterations
- Damages Caused by Natural Disasters
- Shipping for Products Sent in for any Services Other than Repair
After 5 years, nothing is covered and you on the hook for some very expensive maintenance.
